Appointments

To provide the best care possible we please ask you to arrive on-time or be available around the time of your appointment. (In-office or telephone). Patients more than 10 minutes late and may need to reschedule.

If you need to cancel your appointment, please see the patient appointment self-management page

The provision of sick notes, similar to completion of insurance forms, is not considered a medically necessary service. Therefore, patients may be charged for this service and/or may face long wait times to try and see a physician due to the primary care crisis.

As of January 1st 2022, eligible full and part-time employees in BC can take up to five paid sick days. Sick notes are not required for individuals to be eligible for paid sick leave or to return to their places of work or school.

On January 18th 2022, the Provincial Health Officer (PHO) stated that if individuals become ill and take sick days, they do not require a note from their family physician to get back to work.

If your employer still requires another document please call the office to schedule an appointment with your family physician.

While we don’t have a strict one-issue-per-visit limit and endeavour to address multiple issues per visit, this is often not possible.

Complex issues or scheduling constraints (such as being a last-minute fit-in) can lead to this and we ask that you book another appointment for your other issues.
